Marzio Forcella
"Jewelry are beauty, beauty will save the world"
Marzio Forcella, descendant of noble families on both his paternal and maternal sides, was born in the ancient town of Atri, in Abruzzo, on November 15, 1978.
A precocious talent in the world of fine jewelry, he began sketching jewels freehand at the age of five, astonishing his mother, the painter Lydia Pico della Mirandola, who recognized his gift and guided him towards a more focused education after high school, enrolling him in Rome’s prestigious Accademia di Costume e Moda, founded by the renowned costume designer and stylist Rosana Pistolese and later directed by her daughter, Fiamma Lanzara.

With a brilliant final thesis dedicated to Antonio Canova and a well-earned 110 cum laude, Marzio, resolute in his vision, founded the Amaltea brand in Rome in January 2001. This name draws inspiration from another of the designer’s passions: mythology.
After nearly a year of intense work, on December 12, 2001, a magnificent soirée was held to unveil AMALTEA’s first collection, "Treasures from Olympus". The event took place in a sumptuous Roman setting and featured 30 unique creations, it was admired by a distinguished audience and gained instant praise, from fashion and jewelry critics too.
From that moment on, Marzio Forcella began to actively participate in various exhibitions and events dedicated to costume, fashion, and the
performing arts, promoting his collections and earning the admiration of numerous celebrities, who often wore his “magical” creations, such as the now-iconic AMALTEA key-pendant, which represents a new brand, a new jewel, and a new amulet.
Within this unique symbol, the artist expresses his personal life philosophy: a Harmonious Alliance of Art and Love (Alleanza Armonica Arte Amore).
With this innovative logo, formed by four A’s, Marzio enters a highly competitive market with a distinctive, meaningful symbol, rarely seen in an industry where visual identity often lacks such originality and depth.
